Flights to Malta are becoming more attractive then ever. There are plenty of new routes announced from various air companies recently.
Ryanair announced earlier this year nine new routes for flights to Malta. The new routes increase the total destinations served from Malta by the company to thirty six, which is two more than Air Malta.
Flights to Malta:
Baden – Germany
Berlin – Germany
Cologne – Germany
Dusseldorf – Germany
Gdansk – Poland
Poznan – Poland
Manchester – United Kingdom
Rome – Italy
Budapest – Hungary
In addition to the new routes, Ryanair are increasing the frequency of some of the current routes;
Birmingham – Malta will now be three times per week
Edinburgh – Malta will now be five times per week
London – Malta will now be daily
The company’s presence in Malta will also increase with an additional aircraft being based in Malta and around 150 new jobs being created.
In other news, Ryanair has announced some changes to its website booking system. In line with some other airlines, you will soon be able to hold a ticket price for a period of time, allowing you to arrange other holiday details without the chance of losing your seats on the flight. There will be a small charge for this service.
Another welcome change is the redesigning of the aircraft interiors, removing the bright yellow and blue livery and replacing it with a more pleasant on the eye white and blue scheme.
This is great news for the tourist industry and expatriates in Malta and just shows how the industry has continued to grow, attracting more companies and tourists to the Islands.
